The State Insurance Fund provides fire and extended coverage insurance on all buildings in which title is wholly or partially vested in a state agency or institution or in which state funds were used to build or buy the building or its furnishings. (Ala. Code 41-15-1 [1975]). The fund issues a standardized insurance policy to each insured entity with an insurance schedule attached that applies to that entity. It is a list of insured buildings with codes showing date of construction, type of building constructed, number of rooms in each structure, fire protection systems in each building, and the type of institution. A new schedule is issued for each insured entity every year.
