Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company photograph collection, [ca.1890].

This collection consists of eight photographs of Louisville and Nashville Railroad Co. property at an unknown Ala. location. Various views of tracks, the railroad car shop, a brickyard, mill, machine shop, and a turntable are shown. The railroad's division superintendent and roadmaster appear in one photograph. The photographs document the condition and holdings of one of the state's early prominent railroads. These prints show the method of laying tracks particularly well. The photographer is unknown but the photographs were taken at the same time as those in the Georgia-Pacific Railroad Company Photograph Collection.
