American draftsman and illustrator. From the description of Felix Octavius Carr Darley sketchbooks, [ca. 1840-1860]. (Cornell University Library). WorldCat record id: 64060713 Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Darley distinguished himself as an illustrator. In 1848, he moved to New York and became successful illustrating the works of Irving and Cooper.
