State capitol complex warranty deeds and abstracts of titles, 1817-1981.

These files document the activity of the Building Commission in determining that lands used for state projects are free of liens. They include warranty deeds and abstracts of titles on lands purchased for the state capitol complex. Documents included in abstracts are copies of wills, waivers on probate of wills, legal notices, decrees admitting wills to probate and granting letters of testamentary, notices of appointment of executors, and other legal documents filed in probate court. Also included are deeds, abstracts, and correspondence which relate to state-owned property, including the capitol grounds, the Dept. of Archives and History, and several blocks of property within the capitol complex.
