Letter : Wash[ington, D.C.] to J. M. Mason, Richmond, Va., 1848 Nov. 20.

Powell responds to Mason's letter of Oct. 30, 1848 requesting proof of Gen. Mason's guns in 1844-45. He enclosed a chart of specifications, for six 32 pdr. cannon manufactured at the Columbia Foundry, July 10, 1844, inspected by Com. A.S. Wadsworth.
