Interview conducted by Jim M. Dandy as part of the LDS Native American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on October 23, 1990. Singer, a Navajo, talks about his early life on the Navajo Reservation near Kayenta, Arizona. He talks about his family life, his experiences at boarding schools, his conversion to the Mormon Church, and his experiences on the Mormon Church Placement Program. He tells about his experiences in the Southwest Indian MIssion and at Brigham Young University. He talks about his married life and family. He tells about his experiences as a Mormon and relationships with Native American Mormons. He talks about his experiences working with civic and tribal organizations.
