Elizabeth Steptoe, widow of William Steptoe, signed a covenant on August 1, 1806 with Vidal and Company to provide them with wheat and corn. This account records the $550 cash paid to Steptoe as an advance against the crops and an accounting of how much corn Vidal and Company received from her. She did not settle the account and Vidal and Company sued her.
