The collection contains two brief biographies of Robert Sherwood and Alice Schoenfeld written by their daughter Irene Sherwood Taylor. The majority of the collection is written by Irene Sherwood Taylor pertaining to her memories of childhood and how polygamy was dealt with. Her parents had a post-manifesto polygamy marriage. She talks about the process her family went through to get sealed together for time and all eternity. Most of the record relates to the years between 1858 and 1960.
