Staples.--Discusses and thanks him for the genealogical data he sent, and asks him to prevail on "the female historian" (Sarah Helen Whitman) to inform him about her ancestor Nicholas Power. [2] 18--?, February 20, Washington, D.C., to Hiram Fuller.--Says he could not get the issues of the States Mr. Fuller wanted, and discusses Edgar Poe and His Critics by Sarah Helen Whitman (pub. 1860).
