Drawing (1) is a design, with frame for "SELFRIDGE AND CO. LTD." with two smaller sketches showing different designs, each with a frame. Drawing (2) is hand lettering of "SELFRIDGE'S," as well as hand-lettering of an alphabet and several sample letters. There is hand-lettering of an alphabet and numerals in ink, verso.

Arthur Eric Rowton Gill, best known as Eric Gill, was born in Brighton, Sussex on February 22, 1882 to minister Arthur Tidman Gill and light-opera singer (Cicely) Rose King.
