ALS : Monticello, to William Fleming, 1781 June 9.

Jefferson, who resigned the governorship on June 1, sends some public papers to Fleming, who as a member of the Council is acting governor. He also reports that the militia of several counties who had been with Lafayette are to leave him at the end of the month.
