Trusteeship papers, 1828-1865.

A small collection documenting efforts to conclude the affairs of the second Bank of the United States. The bulk of the papers document the attempts of the trustees to pay the debts of the corporation and compensate its stockholders. Present are agency accounts for Erie, Pa., 1841-1842; Cincinnati, Ohio, 1844; as well as a number of inventories of real estate and other assets. Included is correspondence to James Dundas, Edwin M. Lewis, and Charles S. Folwell, all Bank trustees.
