These manuscripts include instructions for observing the transit of Venus, results of inquiries concerning sites for taking observations of the transit, such as Bencoolen, Batavia, and St. Helena, letters of Lord Macclesfield, Charles Mason, and Jeremiah Dixon, and a bill from John Bird for astronomical equipment.
