This collection is comprised chiefly of correspondence and documents related to legislation and litigation resulting from or as a continuation of the New York State Indian Commission. The collection consists of two series: the first seven boxes contain Stillman's papers while series two (boxes 8-19) contain the research materials added by Helen Upton after receiving Stillman's papers in the late 1960's.
