Letter signed by John Van Rensselaer, James Dole, Horace Seymore, Levinus Lansing, John Lovett, Stephen Gorham, John D. Dickinson, and Peter Edmund Elmendorff as a committee of freeholders of Lansingburgh to Philip Schuyler. Thanks Schuyler for efforts made on behalf of town and includes the minutes of the meeting at which they decided to send this letter. Minutes mention the committee's support of John Jay as candidate for governor and Stephen Van Rensselaer as candidate for Lieutenant governor over George Clinton and Pierre Van Cortlandt in the next election. Written at Lansingburgh, N.Y.
