Lawrence H. Suid papers. 1978-1986

The Lawrence Suid papers consist of oral history interviews with film industry individuals such as L.J. Carter, Charles Champlin, Bob Hope, Nicholas Meyer, Edmund North, Dr. Thomas Paine, Rocco Petrone, Gene Roddenberry, Pierre Salinger, Robert Seamans, Bob Schleiffer, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., Admiral James Shaw, Hugh Sidey, Theodore Sorenson, Oliver Stone, Jack Valenti, Jesco von Puttkamer, David Williamson, Michael Wilson, Robert Wise, and Charles Yeager. There is correspondence pertaining to a proposed broadcasting series on war films and carbon copies of his own correspondence with these broadcasting companies. There are also correspondence, court documents and newspaper clippings related to a lawsuit Mr. Suid brought against Newsweek for plagiarism of his book Guts and Glory. Materials dated 1978-1986.
