Manuscript in an unidentified hand of an address by Lafayette to the Masons of Fredericksburg, accepting an unnamed honor and mentioning George Washington, who became a Mason in that city. The address was probably delivered on the occasion described in the second part of the manuscript, a reception by the local yeomanry on the Marquis's Road, renamed in honor of Lafayette's role in the Revolutionary Battle of Fredericksburg.
