Original constitution and by-laws, minutes, abstracts and essays, presidential addresses, and committee records with records of finances and membership and correspondence. Series 5 contains account books and treasurer's reports. Membership records are contained in Series 6. Series 7 contains correspondence of John P. Scott, secretary and later president. Also includes subject correspondence concerning Tri-City Pediatric Meetings, quarantine and communicable diseases, free immunization in Philadelphia, pediatric representation on board to revise U. S. Pharmacopeia, and discrimination against German physicians. Correspondents include former Society presidents Emily P. Bacon, Paul B. Cassidy, John D. Donnelly, J. Claxton Gittings, Samuel Goldberg, J. P. Crozer Griffith, Samuel McClintock Hamill, A. Graeme Mitchell, Henry H. Perlman, and Ralph M. Tyson. Other correspondents include Howard Childs Carpenter, Sherman Little, Aims C. McGuinness, Hubley R. Owen, Myer Solis-Cohen, and Irving J. Wolman. Series 8 contains miscellaneous material, and Series 9 contains three essays from 1956 Resident Prize Award competition.
