Interview conducted by Jessie Embry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 18 May 1989. Hanks talks about meeting Len and Mary Hope when he was a missionary in Ohio during the 1940s. He talks about his continued contact with them until their deaths.
