Records household expenses incurred by Clarrisa Chadwick from 1833 to 1841. References are made to fruits, vegetables, and other foods; many types of textiles; articles of clothing; books and periodicals; and other household necessities. Costs for meeting house subscriptions, stage coach fares, and house repairs are also noted. Chadwick also notes receiving income from investments and rent. A number of transactions were with Henry Whittemore. Chadwick's quill pen is laid in the volume.
