This collection of 33 photocopies consists of letters of Frederick Winslow Taylor and Henry L. Gantt documenting their efforts to establish a program of Taylor's "scientific management" at the textile factory of Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company in Wilmington, Del. Although Bancroft is the main focus, several of the letters describe Taylor's work at Bethlehem Steel and William Sellers & Co. Note that Henry Bancroft, a bookkeeper with the textile firm, was the son of J. Sellers Bancroft, manager of William Sellers & Co.
