A private trust company and successor to the Pew Memorial Foundation, the Glenmede Trust Company was chartered in 1956 to administer three Pew family trusts. James Edgar Pew (1870-1946) was the nephew of Joseph Newton Pew, Sr., founder of the Sun Company.
