Four California certified public accountants : oral history transcript / tape recorded interview conducted 1958-1959 by Francis P. Farquhar for the Regional Oral History Office, The Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley, California, 1968 : and related material, 1958-1968.

Interviews with Harry J. Cooper (23 l.), John F. Forbes (15 l.), James E. Hammond (23 l.), and Anson Herrick (22 l.). Recollections of early days of public accounting in California, their own careers, and the formation of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Herrick's interview also comments on the San Francisco Relief and Red Cross Funds following the 1906 disaster and the accounting procedures used in the San Francisco Panama-Pacific International Exposition, 1915. Included also is an issue of the California CPA Quarterly (Sept. 1959) containing excerpts from the interviews.
