Letters and papers of Sir John Herschel, 1820-1870 (inclusive), [microform].

The papers consist of the scientific correspondence of Sir John Herschel and include letters from eminent British and foreign scientists, together with a number of drafts and copies of Herschel's replies. Also included are Herschel's diaries, laboratory notebooks, astronomical observation books, specimens of his pioneering photographic work, and selected books.
