Scattered correspondence, 1831-1847, of a merchant, lumberman, and owner of an Ohio fleet of canal boats, who moved to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin around 1838; concerning business, agriculture, school and family affairs, and the activities of the Fourierites at the Spring Farm Phalanx near Sheboygan Falls. Also includes correspondence, 1831-1865, of Reverend Huntington Lyman, Congregational missionary to Sheboygan for the American Home Missionary Society, concerning religious conditions and his work; and a Sheboygan school teacher's contract.
