Their fighting ancestors, 1927.

The manuscript, which Hubbard wrote several years after the Doheny Scientific Expedition, further explains Hubbard's theories regarding prehistoric man in northern Arizona. The typescript includes photographs of areas in the Grand Canyon and Havasu Canyon, petroglyphs in the region, as well as the participants of the expedition and various Havasupai Indians. Also included are newspaper clippings about Hubbard's findings during the expedition as well as the findings of archaeologist John Peabody Harrington.

Samuel Hubbard was the Honorary Curator of Archaeology of the Oakland Museum in the 1920s. He was also the leader of the Doheny Scientific Expedition to Havasu Canyon in 1924.
