Geologist. Jenkins, the son of Stanford professor Oliver P. Jenkins, received his A.B., 1913, M.A., 1915, and Ph.D., 1930, from Stanford University. In 1929 he joined the California Division of Mines and Mining, serving as State Mineralogist and Chief of the Division from 1947 to his retirement in 1958.
