This series consists of various financial and administrative records, which depict the functions of the Branch of the Bank of the State of Alabama at Montgomery and its functions within the government of the State of Alabama. Included are letters to the president and directors of the Montgomery Branch Bank concerning loan applications, debts, mortgages, land sales, and other general administrative and financial records. Also included are statements of circuit court clerks' fees, lists of lawsuits against debtors, and statements of the Montgomery Branch Bank's financial condition.
