Records gathered by Charles W. Tyrrell and others during his research for "Steeples on the Prairies," a history of the Primitive Methodist Church in the midwest. Included are published disciplines, conference minutes, and relevant items from periodicals and newspapers; transcriptions of published items; and many original records relevant to southwestern Wisconsin. Present are letters and memoirs of pioneer pastors; minutes of the General (national) Conference, the Western Conference, and the Western Conference's Connexional Committee; and various recordbooks and other documents of several of the local churches and circuits.

From a small beginning in May 1932, the Methodist Crusaders Choir, then with 75 choristers, was hurriedly formed and made its first public appearance at the General Conference Meetings of the Methodist Church of Australasia. It is primarily a hymn-singing choir, and the devoted members feel that the main purpose in their coming together is to spread the gospel message of the Church by means of song.
