Letters, 1835 June 9 and 1841 Nov. 15, from cousin N.L. and Mr. James, the first from Farmington, N.Y.(?), and the second from New Haven, Conn., to Maria L. James, in Mt. Pleasant, Clarke Co., Ala. Subjects discussed include: family matters, a possible visit from Maria in Farmington; Maria's cousin, Mrs. Julia Crosby; Mr. Norton and his family, and other matters of local interest, particularly weddings and deaths. The second letter was begun 1841 Oct. 18, but not finished until 1841 Nov. 15, at least.
