The foldered materials are largely letters from the Right Rev. James McGolrick, Catholic Bishop of Duluth (Minn.), on his collection of natural history and geologic specimens, with a few letters from Andrew R. Kiefer, Thomas M. Newson, Charles A. Towne, and other Minnesota politicians. Several letters relate to Dr. Faulkner's difficulty in finding a suitable place to practice medicine. The volumes are scrapbooks of newspaper clippings on Indian antiquities, life, and customs.
