Governor's official correspondence file - appeal from the Board of Health, 1908.

These records document a case in which John Murdock, M.D., a physician from Michigan was denied the right to practice medicine in Kentucky by the Board of Health. Their argument was that the Michigan Homeopathic Medical College, of which he was a graduate, was not reputable. Dr. Murdock had practiced medicine for thirty-five years without complaint, and Governor Augustus E. Willson, as the final authority, overruled the board's decision and allowed him to practice medicine in Kentucky.
