Lead abatement costs task force files, 1989-1991.

The State Planning Agency commissioner was ordered to convene the lead abatement costs task force in 1990 [Laws 1990 c282 a2 s22] to evaluate the costs of providing assistance to property owners and local communities legally required to do abatement and of providing subsidized programs to assist them. It was also to present recommendations for a statewide subsidized abatement service program and report its findings to the legislature by January 1990. The task force was reconvened in 1990 to develop the strategy for financing and implementing a large scale subsidized lead abatement program and report its recommendations to the legislature by January 1991.
