Book and magazine illustration, ca. 1880-1901.

Books and some magazine illustrations by McVikar. Includes his own book, Matrimonial advice (1896); XXIV bits of vers de societe by Frederick Stokes with illustrations by McVikar (1890); and a children's book, The Boston Tea-party, by Josephine Pollard with illustrations by McVikar (1882). The copy of Matrimonial advice has two of the original drawings for the illustrations tipped in. Also included is a copy of an anonymous work, The Goose-Creek church, published by the Pelham Press (1901).
