Photographs relating to many aspects of health and safety, including accident prevention; irradication of communicable diseases, particularly measles, smallpox, polio, and swine flu; hearing and vision testing; Indian and migrant health; public health nursing; school health; sanitation; and the World Health Organization. There are also photographs of departmental activities and displays, buildings, and personnel. Many of the photographs, which were received from the artists' office, were probably taken for or used in publications and reports.
