The records of the Imperial Metal & Chemical Company are limited to minutes (1913-1969) and an advertising scrapbook (1925-1929). The latter contains numerous examples of magazine advertising and a run of the employee magazine, IMPERIAL TYPE METAL MAGAZINE. It contains humorous maxims and inspirational stories aimed primarily at salesmen and embodying the "go-getter" style of the 1920s. The records also include the minute book of Fedco Division, Inc., a subsidiary formed in 1966 for the purpose of purchasing the assets of Fedoryszyn Associates, Inc.

The Imperial Metal Company of Philadelphia, Pa., was incorporated on February 12, 1913, and was renamed the Imperial Type Metal Company on March 12, 1915. The company was founded by Wilson S.
