These include, but are not limited to: the Cotterell Mansion; Spring Hill, the White Hart Inn and the Workhouse. Also: three photographs of houses in [Chipping], Campden, Gloucestershire, two of Mickleton House and one of the home of his paternal uncle, Edward Phillipps.

On inheriting his father's estate at Middle Hill in Worcestershire, Phillipps embarked on a career of collecting manuscripts and books. His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items.
