The register enumerates fire insurance policies written by the Franklin Fire Insurance Company of Philadelphia on several hundred properties in Danville, Montour County, Pa., between 1911 and 1916. The register contains descriptions of structures being insured, date of policy and amount of coverage. Danville was a center of the iron and steel industry, and the Montour Rolling Mills of the Reading Iron Company are among the properties described.
