A notebook kept by William White including a brief diary of a trip from Kinston to the General Assembly at Fayetteville (November 1786), describing weather, accomodations, and clothes taken; notes on grants and deeds, accounts to be settled, business with Governor Caswell, items to be bought, and livestock; receipt for sum earned by Jesse Wingate, quartermaster (1787); and dates (1787-1793) of his marriage, daughter's birth, and slave births.
