Letters, mostly to Wynne, concerning five volumes entitled HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS FROM THE OLD DOMINION which he edited. There are also letters from individuals thanking Wynne for sending complimentary copies of his books, and from publishers, printers, and engravers concerning production issues. There are also letters from various historical societies regarding their collections, and the exchanging of various books.
