Contains a report of the activities of the SS, Einzsatzgruppen, and several police battalions (including Gruppe Knecht and Gruppe Schröder) while attempting to eliminate partisan groups in areas near the border between Latvia and the USSR. This special operation takes place at the same time as "Operation Winterzauber" which was led by Der Polizei Führer Russland Nord, SS Obergruppenführer und General der Polizei Jeckeln and lasted from 16 Feb to 31 Mar 1943.
