Richard Straus was born 28 Dec 1925 in Karlsruhe, Germany. He entered the US in Jun 1940 and became a naturalized citizen in Oct 1944. Straus entered the US Army in Jul 1944 and served in the Signal Corps of the 87th Infantry Division. He began work with the US State Department in Nov 1948, serving in the office of German Public Affairs. From 1961 to 1963 he served as the president of the board of the American International School in Vienna, Austria. Richard Straus died on 04 Oct 1986. ...
