Also depicted are communities, post offices, roads, ferries, landings, mines, mills, indian mounds, churches, academies and quarries. The railroads charted include the Mobile & Ohio, the Mobile & Great Northern, the Pensacola & Montgomery, the Alabama & Mississippi, the Alabama & Tennessee River, the Coosa & Tennessee River, the Jacksonville & Dalton, the East Tennessee & Georgia, the Cleveland & Chattanooga, the Nashville & Chattanooga, the Memphis & Charleston, the Western Atlantic, the Montgomery & Westpoint, and the Rome Railroads. Also depicted are the proposed routes of the Northeast & Southwest, and the C. & C. Railroads. Maps are color coded to designate railroads, waterways and roads.
