Composite collection of original, photostat, and photocopied documents and papers of or relating to Thomas O. Larkin. Original documents include a note (1843) to Larkin from Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo; a contract (1849) between Larkin and Jacob P. Leese; articles of agreement (May 19, 1847) between Larkin and Robert Semple, concerning property purchased from Vallejo and their subsequent establishment of the town of Benicia; and a copy translation (Dec. 1, 1849) of land titles to Benicia. Collection includes a typed copy of an essay (1943) on Larkin, written by historian Peter T. Conmy, on the occasion of the centenary of the American Consul in California; and a typed copy (1 p.) of a Larkin genealogy.
