This series contains the contracts and specifications for the erection of the hospital building at Tuscaloosa. The contracts are between the hospital and Robert Jemison, who constructed it. The specifications outline the types of materials and structure to be used. There are no actual plans of the building with the file and there are several copies of the contract in the file. The agency responsible for the Insane Hospital was later known as the State Hospitals.
