Records, 1748-1750.

Payroll, certificates, bills of exchange, accounts, and letters relating to the settling of the regiment's accounts. Most of the documents are certificates of service or certificates for wages due to individual officers of the regiment, all attested by Atkinson. Many are accompanied by the recipients' bills of exchange directing the payment of their wages to other persons. There are also some letters from officers to the regiment's agent, John Thomlinson, requesting their pay. Also present are Atkinson's letter of attorney for Thomlinson; a payroll of officers; two letters from Atkinson to George Jaffrey, the Treasurer and Commissary General, concerning records and accounts; Jaffrey's account of the expenses of the expedition; and a copy of the final warrant for expenses, addressed to paymaster William Pitt the Elder.
