Clerk's minute books are records of court proceedings and papers filed. Entries consist of summary notes on proceedings, references to papers filed, and lists of persons before the court. Entries give the body of law in question (common law, equity, probate, or criminal), or the status of persons before the courts, persons in attendance or discharged, public notaries appointed, attorneys admitted to the bar, and persons or corporations in bankruptcy. Entries also give the case of indictment number, forms of writs issued, or nature of complaints or style of motions and verdicts of terms of the court.
