Rose Galek Brunswic was born in Sochocin, Poland. She is a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto. She escaped when the ghetto was liquidated and was cared for by a member of the Polish underground. She was given false papers identifying her as a Catholic Pole. Eventually, the Germans sent her to Germany as a compulsory laborer, and she worked on a farm. She was liberated by the Americans and worked in a displaced persons camp in Stuttgart, Germany after the war. At the camp, she met her husband who work...
