Journal correction vouchers, 1949-1972.

These forms were used to advise the Data E Section of the Division of Control and Accounts to make changes in the journal such as warrant cancellations or corrections in the coding of deposits, refunds, or vouchers. These records are no longer created or used. Now warrants are cancelled by a Warrant Cancellation Request Form (DFC-24), scheduled under GS-3-5. Information captured on these records includes the date of correction, transaction code, warrant number, fund or department code, and the amount of the correction. Agency history record ALAV86-A163 describes the history and the functions of the Dept. of Finance of Alabama, the agency responsible for the creation of this record series. Sub-agency history record ALAV90-A12 describes the history and the functions of the Office of State Comptroller of Alabama, the office responsible for the creation of this record series.
