Court of Criminal Appeals record, 1969- .

In 1969, an act of the Ala. Legislature established a Court of Criminal Appeals and a Court of Civil Appeals, each with a different jurisdiction, Ala. Acts, 987, p. 1745 (1969). These records are bound transcripts of criminal cases which were tried in local circuit courts and then appealed to the Court of Criminal Appeals. Some of the records contain photographs that were court exhibits. The title page of each case has written notations as to the appeal court's disposition of the case. Volumes 314, 1974, 2101, 2594, and 2611 are missing.
